About Indian Hills Elementary

Indian Hills Elementary

Indian Hills Elementary School Building

Welcome to Indian Hills Elementary, a caring Cougar Community.  As a school-wide Title I school, we value our partnerships with parents and families and enjoy working together to help learners achieve their full potential.

We have high expectations of our learners, and we have high expectations of ourselves to help all Indian Hills learners grow into well-rounded citizens and critical thinkers.

Our focus is LEARNING.  Each day, your child should be able to answer the following questions:

  1. What am I learning...?
  2. Why am I learning this?
  3. How will I know when I've learned it?

Each Monday, we recognize students for demonstrating learning traits and leadership qualities.  Mrs. Jorgensen, our Counselor, discusses the 7 habits of leaders with students in her bi-monthly guidance lessons.

  1. Be proactive
  2. Begin with the end in mind
  3. Put first things first
  4. Think win-win
  5. Seek first to understand then to be understood
  6. Synergize
  7. Sharpen the saw
