DARE Graduation

DARE Graduation

The DARE program teaches learners about drugs and the dangers of using them. Officer Herrick taught weekly lessons not only on the effects of drugs but of choices and peer pressure.  She taught students to use the DARE acronym for problem solving, Define, Assess, Respond and Evaluate. As part of the curriculum each student wrote an essay and one student from each class was chosen to read their essay at graduation. Each graduate got a Dare T-shirt and was presented to their parents and friends in this graduation assembly.
